My 100 days of happy starts TODAY! Welcome to my perfect imperfect life!! I am a work in progress, and I’m slowly realizing that is perfectly acceptable. I may not have it all, and I certainly can’t do it all, but I realize now that what I can be is happy with what I’ve got. So here’s to the start of my 100 days of happy — ready, set, hold on to your hats…
Day 1:
Raspberry bed — before
Raspberry bed — after
If you look closely you will notice one of the raspberry plants is missing, oops, I won’t tell if you won’t!
The rhubarb survived! This is surprising since it was left for dead last summer, and I only planted it in the ground to see what might happen. Well that and the fact that it’s been mown over at least twice this spring (not my fault).
The east bed — before
The east bed — after
Have I mentioned I strongly dislike this bed. The only thing I seem to be able to grow successfully in here is weeds! I guess I didn’t kill off the iris bulb, or the phlox, or the one and only hosta that’s allowed in my yard either, phew!
The salsa garden — before
The salsa garden is in…almost!
Do you want to know what happens when you buy too many plants for the salsa garden and run out of space to plant them? Well, you dig another 4′ x6′ garden space of course!
And now the salsa garden (and some broccoli and sweet potatoes, what can I say, I was feeling a bit adventurous!) is officially in!! Whoop whoop!
And this is what you do when you finish all of that — enjoy the rest of the day with your loves…
It was a day of perfect imperfection, just like me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I will see you again tomorrow…
